INDIAN FOOTBALL
Episode - 05
Jonathan Swift (Anchor of Fox
News Channel):- Yesterday, some members and activists of Chinese Communist
Party protested in the streets of Beijing as India invited Thaium Gyatso, the
15th Dalai Lama as the Chief Guest for the India Vs Finland match in
Dalai Lama Football Stadium of Ladakh.

Lionel Messi:- Politics has
become a business in Asia. Some protestors get money from the political parties
to protest in the streets unnecessarily.
Zinedine Zidane:- Yesterday only,
I visited the Thiksey Gompa monastery with Bruno Coutinho, Tuli Goon, Jo Paul
Anchery, Climax Lawrence and other members of AIFF. Actually, I got tempted by
their request. Wait; let me show you the photos that I clicked in my Nikkon
Gen-X Cam Mobile Handset. This is the photo of Thiksey Gompa monastery.
Lionel Messi:- Wow! Such a nice
place! Tomorrow at early morning, I will visit that place. Don’t worry; the match
of India Vs Finland is at 2 PM only. I will come back by then.
Zinedine Zidane:- I will also go
there with you. That monastery really serves good and healthy vegetarian food. The
little kids of that monastery are suffering from Football Fever. They are so
sweet yet brave ones.

Sunil Chetri:- Injuries are
becoming a worry for us. Jayanta Dasgupta, Arjun Thapa, Baji Rao Achrekar and
Peter Silva are suffering from injuries. Our Team Physician, Mr. Fuhrer
Fahrenheit is fully recommending these players to take rest for 1 week.
Moreover, Sangram Mukherjee cannot play the match as he has been shown the Red
Card in our previous match against Finland.
Rajanikanth Modi:- Don’t
underestimate our Reserve Bench. A player sitting in the Reserve Bench
sometimes becomes the match winner at the last phase of the 2nd Half
of any match. Take the example of our previous match only. The substitute
player, Dilip Majumder scored the equalizer. Blessing in Disguise does not
happen in rosy times but in thorny times only. Take in Dilip Majumder, Rajdeep
Samanta, Harilal Tamang, Gurdeep Singh Saini in the main squad. Basanta
Banerjee will be the default goalkeeper for today’s match as Sangram is
suspended for today’s match.

Brady Ballack (Commentator of
FIFA World Cup):- Hello everyone! I am Brady Ballack and Vivian Vickolus has
just joined in with me. Good afternoon, Vivian.
Vivian Vickolus (Commentator of
FIFA World Cup):- Thanks Brady! What an atmosphere out here in Ladakh on this
Super Sunday. The date is 2nd July 2034. Ghana will clash against
India. Lots of Stars have come here today. We can see that all the footballers
of both teams are taking blessings from the 15th Dalai Lama before
the start of the match.
Brady Ballack:- Today’s match is
very important for both the teams. If Ghana Vs India match ends in a tie, say
1-1, then Finland will qualify even after losing the match against Brazil. If
this match ends in a tie with the result 2-2, then Ghana will qualify if
Finland loses the match against Brazil. If the tie result is 3-3, then India
has the chance, provided Finland loses against Brazil without scoring any goal
against Brazil.
Vivian Vickolus:- Oh! Such a confused
calculation! Winning the match is the easier option for both the teams. The
stadium is packed up with 35,000 spectators. Many people are watching the match
from the nearby valleys with their binoculars. The temperature is only 11
degree Celsius with a sunny day, but, there is a strong chilly breeze in the
ground. Overall, it is a pleasant weather to play football, though; the
footballers of Ghana and India prefer to play in warm conditions. The national
anthems are over. Time for coin toss! Just after a few seconds, the game will
start.

Football Stadium
Bruno Coutinoh (Coach of Mumbai
FC Team):- Indian team is playing well. Oh! No! Man! How can you miss that
chance?
Climax Lawrence (Coach of Pune FC
Team):- Oh! Just in the same fashion! I say. Dhiraj D’Souza, the striker of our
Pune FC Team missed the chance to score a goal in the same style. Do you
remember the Semi-Final match of I-League 2033? Though, we won that Maha Derby,
but, Dhiraj missed quite a few chances in that match.
Bruno Coutinoh:- Are you sitting
beside me to enjoy the match of India Vs Ghana or are your priority is to
sprinkle salts on my wounds?
Climax Lawrence:- Ha ha ha...Ok!
Ok! Let us focus on this match only.
***************************************************
Brady Ballack:- Oh! I say, Ghana
is really the powerhouse of Africa in the game of football. Indian Defenders
are having a very tough time to tackle the Ghana strikers. For around 20 minutes
or so, ball is moving inside the area of Indian half only. Basanta, the Indian
Goalkeeper saved two dangerous shots of Mbyoma, the dangerous striker of Ghana.
Vivian Vickolus:- Stenner is the
game maker for Ghana. From the Central Midfield region, Stenner is supplying
the ball with deadly diagonal passes. Again, Stenner gave a long pass to Nkalo.
This time, the left-footed Nkalo is attacking from the right wing. Muktar is
man-marking Nkalo and is successful so far. That’s a bad clearance by Ranjit Singh.
Zengi got the ball and passes it to Lucas. Lucas passes the ball to Nkalo.
Nkalo one-touched the ball. Mbyoma got the ball. Gurdeep Singh tried to slide
tackle, but it was too late. Mbyoma entered inside the penalty box. Basanta
charged in. Oh! What a chip by Mbyoma. The ball has entered the goal. It’s a
goal to give the 1-0 lead to Ghana in the 33rd minute of the match. Smart
goal indeed! Speed and Strength are the two weapons of Ghana.
***************************************************
Location: VIP Box of Dalai Lama Football Stadium
Lionel Messi:- These African
Teams rely on their speed only. I am hardly finding any skills in this Ghana
Team to cherish upon. Rather, some Indian footballers are very skilful. But,
Indians have a stamina problem.
Zinedine Zidane:- Ghana
footballers may feel tired in the 2nd Half. Ghana team is giving
their 100% effort in the 1st Half.
Lionel Messi:- Their strategy is
simple. Win the match in the 1st half only by scoring too many
goals.
**************************************************
Location: Dressing Room of Dalai
Lama Stadium during Half Time
Rajanikanth Modi:- Look at the
video footage of the Brazil Vs Ghana Match. See, how Brazil scored all the
three goals. Brazil footballers always target the weak footballers of their
opponent teams. Daniel Mashai, the Right Back Defender is the weak point to
target upon.
Harilal Tamang:- We are finding
it tough to enter the penalty box area of Ghana. The Ghana players are very
strong.
Sunil Chetri:- You guys are doing
a blunder by copying the Ghana footballers. If they are playing Speedy
Football, then you guys play the Smart Football. Before passing the ball, look
at Mr. X but pass the ball to Mr. Y. They are watching your eyes also. If you
look at Mr. X of your team, then they may try to guard Mr. X, but, Mr. Y of
your team remains unguarded.
Chiranjit Malakar:- Oh! We have
understood what to do.
Rajanikanth Modi:- Another thing.
Our Defenders should not go for big clearances. Rather just tackle the ball and
pass the ball towards the central midfield region. Try to block Stenner as much
as possible. Stenner is the source code of their program. In the 2nd
Half, you will play total aggressive football. Even if any one of you gets a
Red Card, I don’t care. By the end of the match, we want victory. Play in the
combination of 3-3-4. Best of Luck!
**************************************************
Brady Ballack:- Harilal Tamang is
creating a sensation in the Ghana penalty box area. Harilal made three shots at
the goal. Kalakao, the Ghana goalkeeper made three outstanding saves to
maintain the 1-0 lead for Ghana.
Vivian Vickolus:- David Stone,
the English Referee showed an Yellow Card to Chiranjit Malakar for making a
dangerous tackle to Mbyoma. India is now trying to improve their game in the 2nd
half. Ah! That’s a miss pass from the Ghana midfielder. Tomba Llong got the ball
and is sprinting through the left flank. One down, two down! The 3rd
Defender slipped. Tomba passes the ball to Rajdeep Samanta as another Ghana
Defender slide tackled. Shot taken! Wow! The ‘Aryanamah’ ball swung a little
bit in the air to beat even the super diving attempt by Kalakao. Rajdeep
Samanta scored an excellent equalizer for India in the 79th minute
of the match. The spectators of Ladakh Stadium are dancing with joy. Some of
them are blowing local flutes known as Surna and some are beating the local
drums known as Daman.
****************************************************
Sunil Chetri:- Both of you be
ready. After 5 minutes, both of you are going in.
****************************************************
Brady Ballack:- Substitutions are
taking place in Indian camp. Jignesh Jadav and Babu Menon replace Chiranjit
Malakar and Sunil Roy. India has got the throw. Suresh Murmu took a long throw.
Zengi headed the ball towards Stenner. Jignesh Jadav snatched the ball. Masahi
tackled Jignesh. The referee gave a free kick in India’s favour.
Vivian Vickolus:- That’s a very
advantageous position for India to take the free kick. David Stone sprinkled
the white spray in front of the Ghana Human Wall. Babu Menon is going to take
the free kick. All the defenders of the Ghana Human Wall jumped up. Oh! No! The
ball kissed Mashai’s head to enter inside the goal post; otherwise, the ball
would have missed the target by several inches. The same side goal by Ghana
Defender gave the lead to India by 2-1. That’s a bad luck for Ghana. Only 3
minutes left in the match. Indians are celebrating after that goal. But, Ghana
may come back in 3 minutes plus 2 minutes injury time too.
Brady Ballack:- See! Straightway,
Ghana is on the counterattack. Ghana has got a corner. Ducati is going to take
the corner kick. What a swinging corner kick! Nkalo just steered the ball to
let it enter into the right corner of Indian goal post. Ghana players are
celebrating. But, Oh! Dear! The Linesman has lifted up the flag. It’s an offside
by Nkalo. Ghana players are demanding for the 2nd Referee Decision.
As per the new FIFA rules, any team can demand for 2nd Referee
Decision for 5 times in a match. David Stone signalled for the 2nd
Referee Decision. Let us see the replay of that corner kick.
Vivian Vickolus:- Yeah! It’s a
clear case of offside. There is no doubt about that. Had Nkalo made the
movement a few seconds later, he would have been in an onside position to make
it 2-2. The referee has blown up the final whistle. Hear the roar of the
spectators in Ladakh. India has won this match against Ghana by 2-1. But, did
they qualify in the Round of 16? Well, to know that, they have to wait for the
next match of Group D where Brazil will play against Finland. At present,
Brazil has already qualified for the Round of 16. India is having 6 points and
Finland is having 4 points. If the score of Brazil Vs Finland match is 1-1,
then Finland will qualify. But, if the score is 0-0 in the Brazil Vs Finland
match, then India will qualify. The new FIFA rule on the mathematics of goals
scored and goals conceded is as trivial as Duckworth-Lewis Method of Cricket.
**************************************************
Jayarajan (Anchor of News 9 TV
Channel):- Zeco, the Brazilian Striker scored a goal against Finland in the 87th
minute of the match in the Thimpu Football Stadium of Bhutan. Brazil won by 1-0
against Finland. India has qualified for the Round of 16 in the FIFA World Cup
2034.
**************************************************
Rajanikanth Modi:- We have a very
tough team in the Round of 16. On 8th July 2034 (Saturday), we are
going to clash against Netherlands in the Round of 16 Match at Aang San Suu Kyi
Football Stadium at Naypyidaw, the Capital City of Myanmar. We will take the
flight of Indian Airlines from Leh Airport to reach Kolkata Airport tomorrow.
The very next day, we have to take the flight of Myanmar Airlines to reach
Naypyidaw Airport.
